Fun Lovin' Criminals

Classic Fantastic

I grew up listening to the Fun Lovin’ Criminals and so this was an amazing opportunity to produce something for one of my favourite bands.

The FLC have been locked up and are being interrogated by the cops, but they aren’t playing good-cop bad-cop; they’re all bad! The video features actress Cassandra Bell as ‘The Criminologist’ who helps the band escape from incarceration.

Filmed entirely on the Canon 7D with stills taken on the 5D we wrapped the shoot in record time and then the mammoth post process began. Working in After Effects, I created comic book style transitions to link the scenes and with the grade I chose to create an almost painterly finish.

I’m very pleased with the final result and we managed to create a music video that has a very unique look.
